Mock-up or not – it is impressive. “I have been in the industry for 15 years… I finally saw something physically done in terms of building a nuclear power plant in Poland. What can I say, I am happy,” wrote Przemysław Żydak. The mock-up is 14 metres long and stood in front of the National Stadium in Warsaw.

The #smr prototype was built to a design by Last Energy, an American developer of nuclear micro-power plants. The mock-up was manufactured by the Katowice-based company Energoinstal SA. The 20MW Rector is 14 metres long – you can fit it in a container. We hope not to see a full-fledged power plant module next time.
